Repairing Holes in Installed Drywall Boards

Step I;

Step II;

Step III;

The edges of the square are then cleared with a utility knife. This stop prepares the hole for filling and repairing the sheet.

Step IV;

Cut dry to replace the hole in the wall or ceiling. Make sure that both the hole and the cut piece are identical to each other. Squeeze some adhesive and apply some to the cut board.

Step V;

Step VI;

Wipe the spot with a little damped sponge. Later apply fiberglass mesh tape. Place the tap at all the corners for maximum strength and press it firmly.

Step VII;

Apply the joint compound over the spot. Use a drywall knife to carry out applying without damaging the wall or ceiling concerned. Afterward, leave it to dry overnight.

Step VIII;

Smooth the dried spot and later apply a skim coat of joint compound. Once done, finish with a coat of primer and a topcoat of paint. The wall or ceiling may require painting for the whole wall or ceiling.
