SSC JE Eligibility Criteria – Nationality

Applicants for the SSC JE programme must be citizens of one of the regions listed below. If they meet any of the following nationality requirements, they may sit for the exam as per the SSC JE Notification:

  • A resident of India
  • A subject of Bhutan.
  • A subject of Nepal.
  • A Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1, 1962, aiming to settle there permanently.
  • A person of Indian descent who has moved to India from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the United Republic of Tanzania , Malawi, Ethiopian, Zaire, Zambia, or Vietnamese with the aim of residing there permanently.
