SSC JE Eligibility Criteria- Educational Qualification

Applicants must confirm that the following SSC JE exam requirements are met by their educational background or work experience.

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or institute; (a) a three-year diploma in Electrical, automotive, or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or institute; or (b) two years of experience in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Electrical or mechanical engineering projects
3 Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD Diploma in Civil engineering from a prestigious institute.
4 Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD Mechanical or electrical engineering diploma from a reputable university or institute.

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria – Nationality

Applicants for the SSC JE programme must be citizens of one of the regions listed below. If they meet any of the following nationality requirements, they may sit for the exam as per the SSC JE Notification:

  • A resident of India
  • A subject of Bhutan.
  • A subject of Nepal.
  • A Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1, 1962, aiming to settle there permanently.
  • A person of Indian descent who has moved to India from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the United Republic of Tanzania , Malawi, Ethiopian, Zaire, Zambia, or Vietnamese with the aim of residing there permanently.
